Lotus just announced a massive 32-date Winter Tour, starting in January 2015 and ending in March! Get ready for a synth-heavy, guitar-shreddy, jazzy good time ladies and frogs. Things have only been going up for this band lately. The recent success from their Talking Heads: Deconstructed shows last summer will only add to the momentum they’re no doubt coming at us with. Since the turn of 2013 they’ve hit a stride that hasn’t let up. They’ve always had talent obviously, as years of sold-out shows will prove, but they seem to have really found the sound they’ve been looking for in recent years. The new material is becoming more dynamic, and they’re Read the rest of this entry

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For…Lotus?

03This is pretty sweet (pun intended). Watch a Patton Oswald doppelganger in Denver, Colorado give away 1000 free ice cones for the Jordan Jesse Go! podcast, filming the entire event. After editing the movie, what music did he choose for the score? Well Lotus of course, because Lotus always comes to mind when you think of ice cream right? biscuits

It appears the demand for streaming the band’s performances live has finally been met. The Disco Biscuits will be streaming the Feed the Rocks event at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado this Saturday. Better late than never we always say. Following two shows at the Boulder Theater, the band will be playing two sets at Red Rocks with support from Shpongle, RJD2, and local acts. This being the first time they have streamed a show live in years, the decision is more than a sigh of relief for fans across the country who are unable to attend.

db110707_02The Disco Biscuits formed in Philadelphia in 1995 playing college parties and dive bars and have since made a name for themselves as one of the highest selling jam band acts in history. Known for pioneering in the electronic jamband genre that has become quite popular in the Northeast, the band has made a home in Colorado as well, selling out virtually every show they play there. You can watch the entire performance on the web live this Saturday night. Head over to livedownloads.com to pre-order the stream and make plans for your Couch Tour weekend!
