@ Stella Blues- New Haven, CT

8009_750441878321548_870127121_nWhat are your plans for tonight? Yeah it’s the middle of the week, but those can be the best shows! As you get older, it gets harder to drive back from a concert you’ve just thrown everything you had into, only to work 8-12 hours the next day. Sometimes it’s just simply worth it though. You deserve to occasionally get down for a one-off musical experience once in a while. If you live near the City, Goldroom will be heading to Rough Trade Brooklyn for a headlining DJ set tonight. After this, LA’s prince of beach-side disco will be hitting the road with his live band again, so you really don’t want to sleep on this mid-week party session!

  • The beaked beat-maker Claptone has serenaded his followers with another hour of love, romance, hi-hats, and spacey disco grooving. Just hours ago he released the 2nd installment to his Clapcasts, and once it reaches 50,000 plays he’ll upload this baby for free download. Get a taste below, and keep tuned for that upcoming link!
  • To help propel you further into a perpetual groove, we’ve got some new music from Ichisan as well! Earlier this morning the European Casanova dropped his new “Rainbow Mix’ for your listening pleasure. He’s back in the US for some upcoming shows that you don’t want to miss either. Enjoy!

download (1)Yuksek has become an iconic name in modern electronic disco. There isn’t a crowd out there that he couldn’t woo. In 2009 he was putting the works on boogie-junkies with his  ‘Away From the Sea’ LP, and his collaborations with The Magician still circulate the dance floors worldwide. It seems this year, however, we can’t turn a corner without hearing his name or music somewhere. Whether it be in studio, or live on stage with synthesizers, he has a head-turning passion for music. See what the buzz is all about with this performance in the Boiler Room last weekend. For an old-school, piano laden disco-house party, just hit PLAY!

The Disco Biscuits Sell Out 2nd Night Of Upcoming 930 Club Shows

The Disco Biscuits live @ Irving Plaza in NYC

If you haven’t heard yet, read it and weep. The Disco Biscuits have officially sold out the second night of their two day run in Washington DC next month. On July 31st the band will play the 9:30 Club for two back-2-back shows leading up to their headlining performance at Gathering of the Vibes. This also marks the first time they’ve played the venue in two years. According to the fans themselves, this club witnessed some of the most highly regarded performances in the group’s history. From what we’ve heard in the recordings, their shows in New York City last weekend were top notch as well. This band doesn’t tour by themselves like they used to, and it’s not often you get an opportunity to see them outside a festival for an old-fashioned run. After these two shows, they’ll take the stage with Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann of the The Greatful Dead for a collaborative performance. If you have a burning desire to see this band again, you know you don’t want to sleep on those last tickets!

Some Bonus Advice: Seth Troxler will be playing after the show at the U-Street Music Hall on July 31st! Plan your epic night accordingly friends.

Tiger and Woods: The NEW Answer to Weight Loss

TIGERWOODS4The elusive Tiger & Woods have graced us with a new mixtape ladies and frogs. Download the new ‘Too(L) Late For Summer Fitness Mix’  for free and crank up those endorphins baby! The thought of vigorously working out to their Slo-Mo Boogie style of disco is a little strange, but we’ll take the new beats for sure. Then again, this is the same world that hosts Deep House Yoga classes in New York City. You know what to do from here folks…

Z I M M E R _ M U S I C _ I N S I D E _ > > >

There’s something about the summer and flashy synthesizers that go so well together. France is no stranger to glamour beats, and Zimmer might as well be their national spokesman on the subject. Tropical synth-pop and night-time disco house merge together in the new ‘Hills’ mixtape from the Parisian electronic producer. Grab the mix for free download below!

SPOILER ALERT: There’s a pretty mean Toto rework in there 🙂

Bottin Appears on Beats in Space-

Bottin appeared on the Beats in Space radio show, hosted by Tim Sweeney last weekend. This concludes his time in North America, and much too soon. He managed to give New York City one more dose of his signature Italo-disco beats before he left. Grab the mix below!
